Privacy policy
What we collect about you, why, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do.
Last updated 28 October 2026
SubmitLinksNow (submitlinksnow.com) is run by Deliberate Pty Ltd, PO Box 32, Bassendean WA 6054, Australia. Questions about this policy go to hello@submitlinksnow.com, or by post to that address.
The short version: we keep your email address, a scrambled copy of your password, the websites you add and the answers we write for them. We use them to run the service. We don’t sell anything about you, and we don’t use it for advertising.
What we collect
If you just visit
- Server logs. Like every website, our server records each request: your IP address, the page, the time and your browser’s name. We use these to keep the site running and to stop abuse.
- Limits. To stop floods of sign-up, sign-in and password reset attempts, we count them per visitor. We don’t store your IP address for this, only a scrambled code made from it that can’t be turned back into the address.
- Analytics, if you allow it (see Cookies and similar).
If you make an account
- Your email address, to sign you in, send receipts and “your answers are ready” emails, and reset your password. It is never shown to anyone else.
- Your password, stored only as a one-way hash. We can’t read it.
- Sign-in history: the time, IP address and browser of each sign-in, kept for 90 days, so you and we can spot sign-ins that weren’t you.
- Your websites: the addresses you add, the answers we write and any you change, your screenshots, logo and icon, the directories you pick, and where you’re up to with each.
When you pay
- Payments are handled by Stripe. You enter your card on Stripe’s own checkout page; we never see or store your card number.
- What we keep: the amount, the date, the website it was for, whether it was refunded, and Stripe’s reference numbers for it.
If you leave a review
A day after your answers are ready, we email you once to ask how SubmitLinksNow is working for you. If you answer, we keep your rating, what you wrote, your first name if you give it, and whether we may quote you. We only show a review on our website if you tick the box allowing it, and then only with your first name and your website’s address. Every request has a link to stop them, and we keep a note of addresses that have asked us to stop, so we don’t ask again.
If you contact us
We keep the emails you send us, and our replies, for as long as we need them to help you and keep a record.
About your website
When you add a website, our software visits it the way a browser would: it reads a few of its public pages, takes screenshots on a desktop and a phone, and downloads its logo and icon. The text of those pages is sent to Anthropic’s Claude, which writes your answers and checks which directories are likely to list you.
Contact details in your answers (a name, an email address, a phone number, a street address) are only ones your website itself shows. Please don’t add anyone’s personal details to your answers unless they’re happy for them to go to directories, because the copy panel is there to help you send them on.
Directories you submit to are separate businesses. What you send them is covered by their own terms and privacy policies, not this one.
Why we use it
- To run your account and the service you paid for (contract).
- To keep the site safe: stopping spam sign-ups, abuse and attacks (our legitimate interest in running a safe service).
- To understand which pages are useful, through analytics you allow (your consent).
- To keep the records tax law asks for, and to answer lawful requests (legal obligation).
We only email you about your account and your websites, plus the one review request above. There’s no newsletter, and we don’t add you to a mailing list.
Who else sees it
We use a few services to run the site. They handle your information only to do that job for us:
| Service | What for | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Our hosting provider | Running the server | Everything stored on the server |
| Stripe | Taking payment | Your email address, card and billing details, and what you bought |
| Resend | Sending email | Your email address and the emails we send you |
| Anthropic (Claude) | Writing your answers and the fit check | Your website’s public pages and the answers so far; your email address isn’t sent |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Checking that forms are filled in by people | Your IP address and browser details, on the sign-up and password reset forms |
| Google Analytics | Counting visits | Pages visited, rough location and device details, if you allow it |
Some of these services are in the United States, so your information may be handled there. We don’t sell or rent your information, and we only share it otherwise if the law requires it.
Cookies and similar
- Session cookie (
__Host-sln): keeps you signed in and protects forms. The site can’t work without it, so it isn’t optional. It lasts a day, or 30 days if you choose to stay signed in. - Google Analytics cookies: only if you allow them. If your device is set to a European time zone we ask first; elsewhere they’re on unless you turn them off with “Analytics settings” at the foot of any page.
- Your choices, kept in your browser (not cookies, and never sent to us): your analytics choice and how you like the copy panel to open.
Our typeface is served from our own server, so visiting doesn’t contact Google Fonts.
How long we keep it
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Your account and paid websites, with their answers and pictures | Until you ask us to delete them |
| A website that’s refunded | Locked at once, deleted 30 days later |
| An account that never paid | 30 days |
| Sign-in history | 90 days |
| Your review | With your website: deleted when it is |
| Password reset links | Until used, or 60 minutes |
| Payment records (amount, date, website, Stripe references) | As long as tax law requires, usually 5 years, even after an account is deleted |
| Server logs | A few weeks |
Your rights
You can change your password on your account page. You can also ask us, at hello@submitlinksnow.com, for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete your account or a website, or to stop using it for something. We’ll answer within 30 days.
We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988. If you’re in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have rights under the GDPR, including to object and to take your information elsewhere. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, tell us first; you can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or your local data protection authority.
Security
Passwords are hashed, admin accounts need a code from an authenticator app, every form is protected against forgery, your screenshots and logos are only shown to you, and the site runs over HTTPS only. No system is perfectly secure; if something goes wrong that affects you, we’ll tell you.
Children
SubmitLinksNow is for businesses and the people who run them. It isn’t meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change matters, we’ll email account holders first.
